I am still learning, still a student. But I have also been told from spirit that I must teach and teaching teaches me to be a better student and a better healer. A few years ago when I went on this solo journey (I am not alone however because I have many many many spirit teachers walking this journey with me) I was told to teach as many people as possible as quickly as possible because this earth was going to need many healers very soon. And they would be needed all over the world. And this was an urgent request from spirit so you know what is coming is coming.
And so I began my bold journey to teach what spirit is teaching me. I don't however seek people out. I was told by spirit that students would find me. And when they were ready they would show up and learn. So I trust. And I don't push. And I teach those that stand in front of me ready to work and ready to learn and ready to step into their being as a healer. So this is my account of my class from this past weekend. My birthday weekend. I spend it working with healers. What a lovely way to spend my birthday, immersed in healing and spirit and family and loved ones and students, healers and friends.
Well what a lovely weekend we had! It was an amazing experience of the making of a full fledged confident shaman healer! Kathy Gardenour-Conklin was my student this weekend at the Mesa Carriers class. (If you have been through the Medicine Circle or Medicine Wheel class this is the next level of teaching) I did different teachings from last year so nothing was repeated.
Not only did she step into her being as a Shaman Healer fully versed, fully confident, we got to experience Yuchi life during green corn ceremonies and the Iowa Tribe's yearly powwow. Beautiful times (not much sleep). But lots of fun! We met and got to be a part of the lives of so many beautiful people this past weekend. And Kathy got to go into the circle at the powwow and dance! And such a brave soul as she is with me! Dancing next to me sniping at her don't do that! Don't bounce! Just walk! When the music wants to take you every other way! (I later explained that every style and every dress has a specific dance step and movement and it was important if she was to stand with me she not look like a touristy white person out there in the circle.) The parade in at the beginning of the evening was an amazing site to see. All of the different styles of dancers coming in in huge groups. It is definitely something you don't see every day. And we met a medicine woman from the Pine Ridge Reservation AND Kathy finally got her hand drum!
Kathy got to do some intense hands on healing, a remote healing, reiki healing and working on teacher -- that's me! In addition we worked with Twin Flame Stones, the business of healing, working with our spirit guides, meeting new healer guides, and my mean ole guides. Talk about intimidating! But Kathy did an amazing job of listening to all of them and learning what they had to teach her. Kathy learned how to round out her healing business with energy share chaneling and spirit guide assessments. We did spirit circles and sitting in the power of spirit and sending remote healing. We prayed rain (and it worked!), we made medicine bags. We even did ecstatic trance. Ecstatic trance is always a trip -- literally!
Kathy even learned how to run the various things you will do as a full fledged shaman. Having me one on one was probably an intense weekend for Kathy. What a learning experience for both of us!

It was the morning of the full moon. I woke up about 4am and opened my records. I was told I was purging. This is what I got.
You are still purging, clearing.
When you have these feelings and get these dreams say a prayer and purge these feelings.
You are through your dreams revisiting all your old demons once and for all.
Let them go. Release them.
Be kind to people during this time of release.
Rest, be kind to yourself.
Today of all days is a great day of change.
The earth's pull is strong
So...on the evening of the full moon I went and took a stomp dance class. It was mesmerizing and meditative and helped clear my mind. The teacher talked about how the Creek people were all about love. Amazing.

Before we left Padre, Cathy happened to put a large water bottle on the back seat instead of in the seat pocket. While traveling on our trip we were hungry and were led to the Blue Bonnet Cafe. Which happened to make gorgeous cream pies which happened to catch our eye even tho I don't eat sweets and Cathy doesn't eat dairy. So we took it to go and I put the pie on the floor behind Cathy's seat. During a quick brake for a stop light the bottle rolled off the seat onto the floor and shoved the pie way over out of our reach eventually causing us to have to pull over to get the pie. Which I didn't want to do because I was making really good time and there was virtually no traffic.
Not too far past our stop on the side of the road we came into the next community and came upon a wreck where a car traveling in the same direction we were had apparently hit a dog in the road, killing the dog and causing another car to hit them.
Stopping to get the pie made us pause just long enough to avoid the accident.
I'm not keen on the word coincident...are you?

DREAM CATCHER
In one of my last meditations I went to visit my ancestors. My Mom came and took me to visit everyone. There were people as far as I could see. All Family. They told me I was my own dream catcher and proceeded to place me in the center of the circle with my immediate family's right hands on my shoulder and their left on their right elbow. Then going out from me by relations were circle after circle after circle of family with their right hands on the shoulder of the person in front of them and their left hand on their right elbow.
It made the most beautiful dream catcher ever! And it was endless.
My most recent meditation i was met by my Mom again and walked out to meet with my ancestors. We had a good visit and they talked about the work I do and I spoke with the council of Spirit. We had a good visit and they gave me lots of information about the time to come.
When we finished they encircled me again but this time they criss crossed hands, with me holding one person's hand (I believe it was my Mom). Then they proceeded to do a friendship dance (plains people call it a snake dance. White people call it crack the whip but we do it very smoothly and calmly. We wound around and around and I came out by the bridge to come back home and they then let go of my hand and continued to dance on and away. It was beautiful!
I am so blessed to be part of such a rich heritage of people.

THE JOURNEY AHEAD
I am truly blessed to be able to walk the path of a healer and a shaman. The people I meet are genuine, vibrant and exuding love. I truly feel honored to touch the lives of the people I meet and share in their journeys as well.
This past weekend was my sojourn to Oklahoma City to meet with friends and do healings and readings. The readings were astoundingly profound and the healings were gentle and serene. It was good to see old and new friends and share in everyone's transformations.
As always I feel very well taken care of and loved and honored by my hostess. She is a dear sweet wonderful person and takes care of me so very well. She is also my ex mother in law. Who knew we would forge such a bond?
I so look forward to each and every time I have visited these wonderful people. There are no coincidences. I feel fortunate to have met all these beautiful people and to be able to be in their presence.
My journey ahead is to visit more friends and soak up knowledge and energy and revel in the experiences in the days before me.
Beauty before me, beauty behind me beauty all around me.

MESSAGES FROM SPIRIT 9-11-2013
I am always amazed at Spirit and the power of the messages we receive. Last night's Spirit Circle was no exception. I knew it was going to be about healing. We usually send healing but last night's was more. This was a special night for Spirit Circle. I was called to have it on 9/11. I was told it was the night to sit in the Power of Spirit.
MESSAGES FROM SPIRIT 9-11-2013
I was guided during out meditation that the circle was about Love Healing Forgiveness and Joy. We had a special guest with us last night. A new friend from New Orleans. She is a Shaman and very like minded. We all received similar message but each tailored to our specific needs. The messages were very powerful.
During the time with Spirit I heard millions and millions of bells begin to ring. It was the most amazing sound I ever heard. When I asked what it was about I was told it was tribute by and for the souls of 9/11. It went on for about what seemed like forever and then it ceased and then silence.
One of my guides come through with a channeled message. He said the world was on the precipice of a new day. We all being shaman and healers are walking the path of healing. We are all on the forefront of the this new journey. Life is going to be different, simpler, more organic than it is now. Life will be different than what we now know. Spirit tells us often we were chosen to be healers and shamans and mediums and that we are helped in tremendous ways by Spirit.
People will come to us for help and direction and healing. And we should send love and healing to everyone. He asked us to send love and healing and forgiveness to all those impacted by 9/11. All.
We prayed for healing for all of us in the circle. And all our friends and family in the circle. And for those who couldn't be there last night. For those who were sad, depressed, lonely, sick, tired, lost, worried, angry or frightened.
We prayed for healing for the animals, creepy crawlers, the finned, furred and winged ones. We prayed for Mother Earth, Father Sun, Grandmother Moon, for the water and air and sky. We prayed for our guides teachers and loved ones. We prayed for our ancestors, ancients, ascended masters, angels and archangels and saints. All those that help us all on a daily basis we prayed for healing. And we sent love. Then we sent all that love, healing and energy out into the world for all that were ready to receive it.

STATE YOUR INTENTION

WATER CEREMONY
Find live water
By “live” I mean it has living things in it such as healing minerals, and water spirits. This water is best found in a mountain stream, river, or at a natural spring. If you are unable to conduct the ceremony at one of these locations, get plenty of the live water and carry it back in a container for use at another location.
Observe the time of spirits
This ceremony is most powerful at night just after sun down or even more powerful after midnight, but before 3 am. This is the time of spirits. During the day there are far too many distractions and interferences for the spirits to have much impact or communication.
The ceremony of the circle of spirits
Have the all the people stand in a circle. Sing a song or make a prayer that calls in the helper spirits (Tunkasilas) or angels or whatever type of spirit being you are used to or comfortable with. Then go to each person with burning sage, cedar, sweat grass or other medicinal herbs and let the smoke cover their bodies to purify and clean away all negative energies. While this is being done some people get messages for the person being cleansed. This adds a special meaning to the ceremony.
A song or prayer for healing of physical, mental, spiritual and heart matters is appropriate at this time. After the song/prayer, the people go around in a circle speaking their individual prayers and wishes.
After this is done, everyone will lie down or sit down in the water. Or the water can be gently poured over everyone. As the water runs down our bodies it takes the impurities with it and sends them back to the mother earth for purification and reuse.
A final song or prayer to thank the spirits, angels, helpers, etc. completes the ceremony. After this, it is always good to share food.
The ceremony of Mother Earth
As a note, this is another water ceremony, but it is much simpler and can be used daily.
Pour water (this can be regular tap water) into a container, I use a gourd or a wooden bowl, but a simple glass would do.
Walk outside and sing a song or say a prayer, then four times pour a portion of the water into the ground. Drink the remaining water so the prayers enter your being. Pouring the water into the ground is returning the life blood (water) of mother earth to her.
This water once poured into the ground will travel all around the planet in underground waterways and maybe even to the ocean depending on where you live. I would suggest if you feel the urge to pray for peace or environmental concerns this is the ultimate way to send those prayers.

The shaman is a one who mediates between the visible world of form and matter and the invisible world of energy and spirits. For the shaman there is no supernatural world. Only the natural world exists, with its visible and invisible dimensions.
Shamanism is a spiritual practice, not a religious one. Spiritual practices are based on personal, direct experience, and are replicable by others who choose to undergo the practices and initiations. Religion, on the other hand, is based on belief.
But the shaman is different from the mystic, who can also go through a process of healing and discovery of the invisible world of energy and spirits. The shaman is dedicated to service to her community, whereas the mystic is dedicated to dwelling on her own experience of the divine, and let’s the world unfold as it may.
It is also important to differentiate the shaman from the sorcerer, even thought their paths and teachings are similar. The shaman accumulates personal power to serve his community. The sorcerer accumulates personal power for personal gain.

PRAYER REQUEST FOR TODAY
Be encouraged that this is a time of growth and development. More and more are understanding that changes are happening and good things are coming our way.
Ground yourselves and meditate daily. Rest, drink plenty of water and listen to the animals. Many animals are moving and coming to us to tell us messages. Please listen to them and know they love us. They are messengers of peace.
We are not alone. Our guides and guardians are watching us, protecting us, helping us. Thank them in prayers.

This is the time of the new moon of new beginnings of new growth of new awakenings. I lot of changes have happened in this world and are happening right now.
Light workers do not get discouraged. Trust in your guides and helpers. You are their conduit. You are the ones they work through to help heal this world.

People think you are crazy if they see you dance and they don't hear the music. You hear see feel the music in all its beauty and light.
The main message today is to be respectful of your guides and helpers. Trust that they are working for the highest good.
Doubters fear that there is darkness in the world. If you vibrate at the highest level you will not need to worry about the darkness. There are those who battle dark. If your job is to work as a light worker then vibrate at the level of lightness.
God, the Ascended Masters, Angels, Archangels, Ancients, Ancestors, Teachers, and Guides. All are working with you and helping you to heal and be healers. We need all the healers we can get in the world right now.

SHAMANS, HEALERS, PSYCHICS, MEDIUMS
CREATION OF YOUR OWN TEAM OF LIGHT WORKERS
Every one of us has a group of light workers in spirit that watch over and can help us if we ask them to. They cannot assist us if we do not ask them however.
When I work I call in my spirit guides, healer guides, guardians, ancestors, ancients, ascended masters, angels, archangels, and saints. Depending on the work I am doing I may call in some or all of my helpers.
You may choose who you call in. If you work more with angels call them in. If you work with your spirit guides call them in. The shaman work I do calls for a wide variety of helpers who assist me. When you are in need to protection, help, assistance, healing, call them in. The more you work with them the more you feel comfortable calling them in.
In teaching healing I teach to learn who your guides are, who your helpers are and call them in. They will teach you, work through you, and protect you in every situation. When you make the commitment to do healing work (and mediumship is healing and healing is mediumship) your guides will happily step up to help you teach you and assist you in every way they can.
And I always always remember that the healing I do is my guides and their infinite wisdom. I am merely the conduit. I am always grateful and thank them each and every single time for letting me do this work and for my Light Workers working through me.

SPIDER DREAMS
I had the most amazing dream last night about spiders! I am afraid of spiders but this dream was interesting. The spiders were falling out of the bottom of my pant legs and they didn't look like spiders but black flat cedar leaves. Then they would get up and crawl out from me going in all directions. I wasn't afraid. So I started shaking my pants and more kept falling out. I woke up still not afraid and the coyotes were howling! And before the spiders I was being given symbols of all kinds.

Their bodies are shaped like the number 8 and they have 8 legs, symbolising infinite possibilities of creation. The 8 legs represent the 4 winds of change and the 4 directions of the medicine wheel.
Spider weaves her web, we weave our realities. Spider reminds us that we create many of the situations in our lives. Spiders have the extraordinary capability of creating, weaving and spinning their own webs. This ability shows and teaches us the gift of creation. We have the power to create what happens in our lives - to us and to others. The choices we make coupled with our attitude - very powerful stuff. You may also realise that the webs you weave need not be sources of entanglement, but a network of roads to travel.
Spiders are actually very delicate, embodying the energy of gentleness, and generally aren’t aggressive unless defending their lives. Moving forward whatever the situation, with a gentle strength, is a skill that often needs to be learned by those with this power animal.
Spider's message to you is that you are an infinite being who will continue to weave patterns of life and living throughout time.
